23rd July 2006 Windsurfing: Ythan Estuary, Aberdeen Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 13-22 mph Surf / Sea State: Flat Air Temperature: Warm Sea Temperature: Warm Weather: Sunny Max Speed: 28 mph (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 12.6 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Started off with not much wind, so continued where I left of yesterday with lightwind freestyle on the 6.3m Target. The thermals started kicking in around high tide, so rigged the 8.0m up and was nicely to well powered up for the rest of the session. Great blasting / drag racing conditions. Not a bad little crowd out, so the banter was good as well. Even a couple of newbies giving it a shot for the first time as well - both seemed to be doing OK with the bigger kit we had managed to muster for them to have a go on - really intermediate rather than starter gear, but this didn't seem to phase them. |
